2-24-14 Meow

This week was crazy! It sounds like it was pretty awesome for you guys too! It's so windy here in Maracanaú because it's so close to the coast so that's nice. The three baptisms did happen and we had an extra one on sexta. Domingo the other set of missionaries had another baptism. Today, unofficially, our zone leaders told us that our area is leading the mission in baptisms. It's crazy! A lot of people just sit on rocking chairs at night and work on their pot bellies. It seems to be a popular thing here for people to develop super large bellies and loose all their muscle. So there's a ton of cats and dogs out on the roads so a couple nights ago I picked up a kitten and it jumped out of my hands. I tried to grab it ,but i only spun it so it did a face-plant on the asphalt  Then we were talking with some investigator and her grandpa came up and started saying something. He ended up picking up a baby kitten and throwing it over a fence. I heard the thud and then the quiet meow. Anyways, The coke here is really good! Way better then in America! So my companion had to go to the hospital because his foot was hurting for more than two weeks and the hospital is in Fortaleza. We had to leave our mission boundaries to get there. We didn't eat lunch until 6 pm and we were in the hospital for about 5 hours. The picture represents our hunger. We went into the mall to get some food afterwards and we got some Subway sandwiches! Then today we had to got to the mission office for something and we got McDonald's! The Mickie d's here is way more expensive. It's ridiculous! So we spent the more part of our day traveling. Got some more garrafinhas! Black diamond Chocolate is the best! Apparently Brazilians think that cough drops are candy. And on the inside of the cough drop wrappers are memes in Portuguese. It's pretty funny.
Well until next time,
This is Elder Padilla out.
Love you!

That Picture is of my ward mission leader and me. He's amazing! He's going on a mission soon so it's exciting. He said he loves me so much he's killing me ( in English). It was really funny because he can't speak much so we took a picture of us fake stabbing each other.
